GEO for B2B and enterprise brands: making the procurement shortlist

When a buyer looks for a new supplier, the first draft is now often prepared with AI: “companies in Türkiye offering industrial refrigeration maintenance”, “software houses with ISO 27001 that do ERP integration”. A company that misses this first list may never be invited to bid. Enterprise buyers look for trust, not speed, and AI builds that trust from verifiable facts.

✳ Short answer

GEO for enterprise and B2B brands aims to get the company named, and described correctly, in supplier research and shortlist questions. The company’s legal name, address, contact channels and official profiles are published in machine-readable form; capability claims are backed by certificates, case studies and technical documents; comparison content is written on measurable criteria without naming competitors.

What do procurement teams ask AI?

StageExample questionEvidence sought
Market scan“Which companies install packaging lines in Istanbul?”Field of activity and service area
Screening“Which of these companies holds ISO 9001?”Certificate name, number, validity
Trust“In which industries has company X delivered projects?”Approved reference and case content
Technical fit“Can they integrate with SAP?”Technical documents and integration list

Why should corporate identity data be written for machines?

In B2B, the same company’s brand name, registered name and abbreviation can appear differently across sources. If AI can’t join these pieces, it may treat the firm as two companies or not recognise it at all. For Organization markup Google recommends fields such as legal name (legalName), address, contact point (contactPoint), founding date, tax ID and official pages on other sites (sameAs), and considers it enough to provide them once on the home page or about page[1].

What do enterprise buyers trust, and what does AI quote?

When describing content quality, Google highlights the questions of who created it, how and why, names trust as the most important element and stresses the value of first-hand experience[2]. In B2B, that experience means concrete proof of work:

  • Case pages: With the client’s permission; problem, scope, duration and measurable results. Without permission, the industry and project type are described anonymously.
  • Certificate page: Each certificate’s full name, issuing body, number and validity date; a verification link where possible.
  • Technical documents: Datasheets, integration lists, service-level definitions; with readable text and linked from the page.
  • Service area: The cities and countries served are stated clearly; unverifiable lines like “serving the whole world” are avoided.

What limits apply to comparison content?

Enterprise buyers often ask “approach A or approach B?”, and content that answers those questions is easy for AI to quote. Under Article 8 of Türkiye’s Regulation on Commercial Advertising and Unfair Commercial Practices, however, comparative advertising may not include competitors’ product names, brands, logos or trade names; the comparison must be objective and based on material, essential and verifiable features, and numerical claims must be proven by tests, reports or documents[3].

So we write comparison content as a comparison of methods and criteria rather than brands: “on-site installation or modular system”, “fixed price or usage-based pricing”.

Frequently asked questions

01Can we name our reference clients on the site?

Yes, with the client’s written permission. If contracts include confidentiality, the project is described by industry and scope without the client’s name; a few detailed cases are stronger evidence than an unverifiable wall of logos.

02Our prices are set by quotation. Does that affect AI visibility?

Publishing prices isn’t required. A page explaining what drives the price (scope, duration, volume) lets the “how much does it cost?” question get a non-misleading answer and moves the buyer to the quotation step.

03We also sell abroad. Are other languages included?

Turkish and English are standard. Other target-market languages are added in the large-business scope or by custom quote, and each language is measured separately with its own question set.
