Entity and knowledge graph management means mapping your brand’s records online, aligning name, address, contact and activity details to one correct version, declaring it to machines with Organization markup and links to official profiles, running knowledge panel and (where eligible) Wikidata processes, and fixing wrong information in AI answers at its source. The concepts are explained in our entity SEO guide.
What does the service cover?
| Work item | What we do | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Record inventory | We scan the sites, directories, map and social profiles where your name, address and contact details appear | Record list and inconsistency report |
| One correct record | A single spelling for legal name, brand name, address, phone, field of activity and founding year | Brand imprint document |
| Alignment | Records you control are updated to the imprint; correction requests are prepared for the rest | Dated change log |
| Organization markup | Organization structured data with legal name, address, contact point and official profile links[1] | Validated markup |
| Knowledge panel | Claiming an existing Google knowledge panel and suggesting changes[2] | Claim and suggestion log |
| Wikidata | Assessment against the notability criteria; a sourced item if they are met[3] | Assessment note or item |
| Monitoring | Brand questions are put to AI engines monthly; wrong information is tracked | Monthly accuracy report |
Which fields matter in Organization markup?
Google defines no required properties for Organization markup and recommends adding the ones that apply to your organisation. Recommended properties include legal name (legalName), address, contact point (contactPoint), logo, founding date, tax ID and sameAs links to your official pages on other sites. Google recommends providing this once on the home page or about page rather than on every page[1].
sameAs links help AI match your site with your LinkedIn company page, map profile and directory listings as the same entity. So we only link profiles that truly belong to you and are kept current.
What do we promise about knowledge panels and Wikidata?
Google knowledge panels are generated automatically; their content comes from various sources across the web and from authorised partners. People who represent the entity can claim the panel and suggest changes[2]. Because Google decides when a panel appears and what it shows, we don’t guarantee one; we work on making the sources that feed it accurate and consistent.
For an item to be accepted on Wikidata it must meet at least one criterion, such as being a clearly identifiable entity that can be described with serious and publicly available references[3]. For brands that don’t meet the criteria we don’t create an item; we first recommend work on verifiable mentions in independent sources.
How does the work proceed?
- SCAN
Inventory and brand questions
“Who is [brand], where is it, what does it do?” questions and every record that mentions the brand.
- BUILD
Imprint and alignment
One correct record, updated profiles you control, Organization and sameAs markup.
- WRITE
Verifiable mentions
Clear about, imprint and press kit pages; correction requests for external sources.
- MEASURE
Accuracy and recognition
Brand questions are asked again monthly in 6 engines; wrong information and recognition are reported.
Frequently asked questions
01Do you create a Wikipedia article for our brand?
No. We don’t write promotional encyclopedia articles. We create a Wikidata item only if the notability criteria are met, with independent sources.
02We have no knowledge panel. Will one appear after this service?
Google decides automatically whether a knowledge panel appears, so we can’t guarantee it. We make sure the sources that feed a panel are accurate, consistent and linked to each other.
03Our legal name differs from our brand name. Is that a problem?
No, but the link between the two must be explicit. The legal name goes into markup as legalName and the brand as name; the imprint and about page also state how they relate.
