GEO for manufacturing: the right product in an engineer’s technical question

A maintenance engineer may ask an AI “which gasket material works on an 80 °C hot-water line?”; a buyer may look for “a manufacturer with local spare parts for this valve”. Those answers are compiled from catalogues, datasheets, standards tables and dealer pages. If your product data lives only in a printed catalogue or in a file whose text can’t be read, it becomes harder for your current technical facts to reach those answers.

Who asks
Project and maintenance engineers, procurement, dealers

Dimensions, materials, operating ranges, standards, certificates, spare parts
Watch out
Correct use of conformity marks (below)
✳ Short answer

GEO for manufacturing is the work of getting your product named with accurate technical facts in application, material, compliance and spare-part questions. Each product’s dimensions, materials and standards are published as text on its own page, datasheets are linked from those pages, conformity marks and certificates are shown in line with the rules, and the dealer and service network is kept current.

What do technical buyers ask AI?

Question typeExampleFacts needed
Application“Which stainless grade is used in an acidic environment?”Material and operating conditions
Selection“Which valve type suits a 10-bar DN50 line?”Size, pressure, temperature range
Compliance“Which standard was this product tested against?”Standard name, certificate and report details
Supply“Is there an authorised service for this brand in Ankara?”Dealer and service list

How should technical information be published?

  • One page per product: each product or series at its own URL, with dimensions, materials, operating ranges and application examples as text and tables.
  • Datasheets and catalogues: PDF is among the file types Google can index[1]. We still don’t leave the key values to the PDF alone; they go on the product page too, so users and bots reach them in one step.
  • Product markup: Google separates “product snippet” markup for pages where the product can’t be bought directly from “merchant listing” markup for pages where it can[2]. Products sold through dealers usually fit the first.
  • Standards and certificates: the full name and year of the standard, the issuing body, the certificate number and its validity date.
  • Dealer and service network: a current list by city, with each dealer’s name and contact details matching their map profiles.

Which rules apply to conformity marks and certificates?

Article 13 of Türkiye’s Product Safety and Technical Regulations Law No. 7223 prohibits issuing, using or imitating conformity marks, certificates and test reports contrary to the facts. A conformity mark may only be used on products for which the technical regulation provides it, and no other mark that misleads about its meaning or form may be placed on the product[3].

Your website and catalogue are the public face of that information. A mark or certificate shown on the wrong product page creates a regulatory risk and can let a false claim be repeated in AI answers. That’s why, in the BUILD step, we match the mark and certificate details on every product page against the documents one by one.

How does the Neural Visibility Loop work in manufacturing?

  1. SCAN

    A technical question set

The application and selection questions your sales and service teams hear most; which manufacturers get named and which catalogue pages are cited.

  2. BUILD

    A product data backbone

Product pages, datasheets linked from them, product and Organization markup, dealer lists aligned with map profiles.

  3. WRITE

    Content in engineers’ language

Application notes, material selection guides, common installation mistakes; each with measurable values and sources.

  4. MEASURE

    Citation share per application

The same questions every month across 6 engines; which product page or datasheet gets cited is tracked separately.

Frequently asked questions

01Dealers sell our products and our site shows no prices. Is that a problem?

No. You can answer compliance, dimension and material questions without publishing prices. A current dealer and service list shows a buyer who wants a price or a quote where to go next.

02Our catalogue is PDF only. Do we have to turn all of it into pages?

Not all at once. We start with the products that appear most in the question set and move their key values onto product pages; the PDF stays and is linked from the page.

03We also export. Does this file cover foreign buyers?

This file focuses on technical selection questions. Turkish and English are standard; other target-market languages are added in the HÜKÜM (Verdict) plan or by custom quote, and each language is measured separately.
